We mobilize artistry and innovation to develop thoughtful, refined structures that enhance quality of life.
In 1992 Victor F. “Trey” Trahan established Trahan Architects, and has since built a portfolio with a wide range of building types and scales, including academic, cultural, athletic ecclesiastic, residential, commercial, mixed-use and urban projects throughout the US and overseas. Notable projects include the Coca-Cola Stage at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, The Mercedes-Benz Superdome Capitol Improvements in New Orleans, LA and the Louisiana State Museum and Sports Hall of Fame.
The firm is ranked as the #1 design firm in the U.S. for 2019 by Architect Magazine, the official publication of the American Institute of Architects. Trahan Architects has won over 95 national, regional, and local awards along with several international design competitions. The firm’s work has been published in more than 40 countries.
With a strong investment in the social mission of architecture, our work aims to serve the public and create venues of opportunity for powerful communal experiences. We seek to design urban environments that respond to the way we live today. We mobilize materials and technologies to craft innovative designs that set new standards for sustainability, improve day to day functioning, and create new possibilities for social and cultural engagement. We believe that a carefully crafted space not only functions well, but has a lasting resonance - the power to educate, energize, and inspire.
We value working collaboratively and believe that this process brings humility and adaptability to our work. By combining our teams core talents with the expertise of outside specialists, we expand our knowledge and create opportunities for new experiences and discoveries.
