Office of Criminal Justice Coordination

Government and Military

Orleans Parish

5-20 Employees

The Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice Coordination fosters system-wide communication and evidence-based policy making to promote an accountable, coordinated, equitable, and effective criminal and juvenile justice system. The office coordinates the efforts of public and private agencies involved in the City's crime control, criminal justice and victim assistance activities. The office acts as the staff of the Sanford "Sandy" Krasnoff New Orleans Criminal Justice Council, which decides the allocation and distribution of criminal justice grant fund for Orleans Parish as the official "pass through" agency for the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement. These principal duties are conducted with an eye toward coordination of all public and private efforts in the public safety and criminal justice areas.
