The Latino Farmers Cooperative of Louisiana works to towards creating an integrated community food system where food becomes a vehicle to better the social and economic life of the Latino community in Orleans Parish, to enrich the environment, and to improve human welfare. This mission is accomplished through the development of self-help programs that: 1) meet the food needs of low income families; 2) increase economic independence; and 3) promote comprehensive responses to food, farm, and nutrition issues.
