NOELA Community Health Center (NOELA CHC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the unique diversity and improving the quality of life of residents in the Greater New Orleans area, beginning in New Orleans East. Together with community partners, our work encompasses health care, environmental and agricultural concerns, education, and social services.

NOELA CHC was developed in a time of crisis after Hurricane Katrina to provide crucial medical and mental health services to the geographically and culturally isolated populations in the Eastern portion of Greater New Orleans.

Originally formed through a unique partnership between the MQVN CDC, Tulane University School of Medicine, and Children’s Hospital Medical Practice Corp., NOELA CHC serves a diverse population and provides care to the low-income, uninsured population of the community.

In collaboration with private and public health partners, our vision is to improve the health and wellness of the communities in and around the New Orleans East area by working to create a seamless system of access to compassionate, culturally sensitive, primary and preventive health care resulting in a healthier population and improved quality of life.

NOELA CHC has a demonstrated track record of providing high-quality, cost-effective health care and is nationally recognized as a Patient-Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

NOELA Community Health Center is linguistically and culturally appropriate to the communities that we serve.  Our staff provides services in English, Vietnamese, and Spanish.
