Algiers Point Montessori is a New Orleans preschool serving children from ages six weeks to three years. Located on the Westbank in the historic neighborhood of Old Algiers, we offer Montessori-based childcare with low student-teacher ratios.

We provide a safe, peaceful environment where children learn through play. Hands-on materials designed by Maria Montessori teach literacy, math, problem solving, and practical life skills without drills or flashcards. Mixed-age classrooms create a home-like setting where children can stay with the same teachers for multiple years. 

Our school day runs from 8:00 to 3:00. Each day includes group activities, free play, music and art activities, outdoor play, lunch (brought from home), snack, and nap. We offer before care starting at 7:30 and after care until 5:30. We also have several part-time program options.
