Upturn Arts is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that offers fun and creative programs for children in the New Orleans community to explore their artistic abilities and build confidence in themselves. We believe in providing arts enrichment opportunities for all children, never turning students away due to financial restraints. Upturn Arts provides summer, holiday and after-school programming at our main location in NOLA Spaces in Central City. We hire working artists in the fields of dance, theater, music and visual arts as our teaching artists, bring in guest artists to showcase their craft and cultural importance in New Orleans, and bring students on field trips to expose them to the various artistic, musical and cultural spaces in our city.
