In 1847 the Fathers of the Society of Jesus founded the College of the Immaculate Conception on Baronne and Common Streets to create an outstanding institution for the secondary education of young men. In 1926 Jesuit High School moved to Carrollton and Banks -- The Avenue of Champions. For more than 160 years, Jesuit, has continued the rich tradition of academic excellence that has been the hallmark of Jesuit education. Today Jesuit serves 1,350 young men from more than 60 zip codes in grades 8-12.
