Young Audiences of Louisiana (YALA) is the largest and longest-running arts education organization in the state of Louisiana. Since its inception in 1962 Young Audiences has adapted and evolved to serve the ever-changing needs of students in our community. YALA is a leading resource for arts-education providing residencies, performances, and professional developments to over 60,000 students in grades PK-12 throughout the state. As the largest provider of afterschool programs in New Orleans, YALA employs over 220 local artists and teachers who reach over 2,500 students free-of-charge in the greater New Orleans area.
