The Louisiana Children’s Museum (LCM) is a 56,000-square-foot, LEED-certified, nonprofit interactive museum located at 15 Henry Thomas Drive in New Orleans’ City Park. Opened in 2019, LCM is dedicated to early childhood development, literacy, health, and environmental education through hands-on, play-based learning experiences.

Campus & Location:
Situated on an 8.5-acre campus, the museum features engaging indoor and outdoor exhibits, a restored lagoon, and galleries focused on environmental education, literacy, and STEM exploration.

Exhibits:
Interactive spaces such as Make Your Mark and Play Power encourage children to explore creativity, social-emotional development, and problem-solving through imaginative play.

Mission:
LCM’s mission is to make children’s potential visible by fostering social, cultural, and educational growth through meaningful play experiences.

Programs:
The museum offers specialized initiatives, including First 1000 Days, which supports early brain development, and Play Power, which promotes social-emotional learning.

Visitor Information:
Open Wednesday–Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
