Following Hurricane Katrina in 2005, SMS Development and BOI Construction had a sincere desire to help rejuvenate the city of New Orleans. The locally owned companies were among the first to acquire properties in the destroyed and deserted neighborhoods of the city, and in a two year period, we restored the properties in the New Orleans area to provide rental housing for residents looking to return home.
