Clerical Position for The Growing Home Program Are you committed to the revitalization of New Orleans? Than this job may be for you! The Growing Home program is administered by the landscape design firm, Heavy Meadow (www.heavymeadow.com), for The New Orleans Redevelopment Authority. The program was launched almost 3 years ago to help people who are purchasing Road Home properties beautify them through landscaping. You can learn more about it at www.growinghomenola.org. Heavy Meadow is seeking a full time assistant to the program director. Applicants must be computer literate. The job requires a lot of time on the phone helping participants schedule times to meet with the director, tracking their progress on projects and creating contracts and other forms using our database. You will be trained to use our customized database with File Maker Pro. We need someone who is patient and has great communication skills as we work with a huge variety of people. You must also be detail oriented and extremely well organized, as we have over 700 people currently in this program. There may be some time spent in the field, which requires a car. If you have a background in horticulture, landscaping, design, and/or architecture that is even better! Pay Rate: $12 / hr No benefits Flexible start date in early May Prefer to hire someone available for the next year
