Position for Hire: Part-time Executive Director for Children's Neuromuscular Foundation of LA Part-time position averaging an approximate time of 10 -- 15 hours of work per week Salary range of $10,000 to $12,500 annually, with no benefits. There will be built-in incentives above salary for successful increased fundraising (special events & grant writing). Please send to: Children's Neuromuscular Foundation of LA Attn: Mason Couvillon 701 Metairie Road, Suite 305 Metairie, LA 70005 Please respond by September 30th Job Description for Executive Director of The Children's Neuromuscular Foundation of Louisiana Reporting to the Executive Committee of the Board and Board Members of CNMF, the Executive Director will be responsible for five specific domains associated with the daily operations of the Foundation, including but not limited to the following areas of responsibility: operational, accounting, marketing, fundraising, and gifting. OPERATIONAL 1) serve as the administrative and operational leader of the Foundation 2) maintain copies of all contracts entered into by the Foundation 3) schedule all board meetings, prepare board meeting agendas, take and prepare minutes of all board meetings 4) facilitate all board meetings and selected committee meetings 5) maintain all records for the Foundation 6) create and maintain a database for use by the Foundation 7) develop, along with the Board's input, a two year strategic plan for the Foundation 8) investigate potential growth opportunities for the Foundation ACCOUNTING The Executive Director shall work under the direction and approval of the Board Treasurer for all accounting related duties 1) maintain records and receipts for all budgetary needs of the Foundation 2) prepare a balance sheet for the Foundation 3) coordinate the annual operations plan and budget, which is ultimately approved by the Board 4) Documentation of the organization's financial activities and records 5) Assist with the payment and record keeping of all expenses of the Foundation MARKETING 1) prepare information about the Foundation for public relations with doctors, patients, their families, donors, volunteers and the general community 2) coordinate public relations for all special events with each events' particular chairpersons 3) develop an advertising strategy to represent the Foundation to the community 4) rescale and maintain the Foundation website FUNDRAISING 1) coordinate all special events in conjunction with each event's coordinating committee (These events include Dancing for Dystrophy and any other new events.) 2) research and apply for potential grants which help fulfill the general mission of the Foundation 3) cultivate potential donors and all major and minor donations to the Foundation GIFTING/FUNDING 1) handle the administrative flow of money from the Foundation to families and/or individuals in the form of grants 2) prepare all documents related to grant applications, grant review of proposals, and grant awards of the Foundation • Location: New Orleans Metro Area • Compensation: $10,000-$12,500 No benefits; incentives available • Telecommuting is ok. • This is a part-time job. •Principals only.
