Our mission is to transform under-utilized urban spaces into exciting, kid-friendly environments for learning and play. PlayBuild's genesis was the 2012 Lots of Progress/PitchNOLA competition, sponsored by the New Orleans Land Re-development Authority (NORA), Tulane City Center, and social innovation accelerator, Propeller. We teach kids, ages 4-12, at our outdoor teaching site in Central City, at schools around the city, and at cultural events, such as music festivals and farmers markets. PlayBuild is a Louisiana-based, not-for-profit corporation operating under the fiscal umbrella of Neighborhoods Partnership Network, a registered 501(c)3.
