The New Orleans Career Center (NOCC) prepares Orleans Parish public school students and local adults for high wage, high demand careers with clear sightlines to future growth and prosperity. Our trainees explore, prepare for, and enter career pipelines – through technical training, industry based certifications, hands-on and work based learning. We envision a world where every public school student in New Orleans graduates from high school equipped to choose their own future and shape the future of New Orleans. New Orleans Career Center offers adults highly focused, rapid reskill industry-informed training to enter or re-enter the workforce.
The NOCC team partners across industry, education, government, community and workforce development to design and deliver workforce preparation and training programs aligned to economic growth and access to opportunity in the Greater New Orleans area. NOCC leverages diverse relationships and credibility with key leaders to achieve and expand our impact. Our current pathways span healthcare, building trades, digital production, engineering and manufacturing, culinary arts and hospitality management. We relocated to our renovated, 140,000 sq/ft. state-of-the-art technical training facility in February 2023.
