ACCION TEXAS-LOUISIANA JOB DESCRIPTION Background ACCION Texas-Louisiana is a non-profit micro enterprise development program based in San Antonio with operations in Texas (Austin, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Dallas/Fort Worth, El Paso, Houston, Laredo, McAllen) and in Louisina (Alexandria, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Shreveport). ACCION is dedicated to increasing incomes and creating jobs in low-income communities by providing micro entrepreneurs with access to credit and business support services not available from the commercial banking sector. We offer a “hand-up” to those striving to support themselves and their families through small business initiatives. Through our loans and services, we help micro entrepreneurs strengthen their businesses, stabilize and increase their incomes, create additional employment and contribute to the economic revitalization of their communities. Position Title: Loan Officer @ New Orleans Reports to: VP Eastern Region Lending Recommended Qualifications: • Commitment to program objectives of providing credit and support services to micro-entrepreneurs • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • High levels of motivation and ability to work independently • Managerial/Supervisory skills • Computer literate in MS programs • Willingness to work in low-income neighborhoods • Ability to handle cash/payment/deposit transactions • Reliable transportation, flexible schedule and ability to travel • Bachelor’s degree in business or experience in lending, marketing or social work Responsibilities: • Provide program information to inquiries • Conduct information sessions • Promote the program through cold calls, block walking, trade shows & business expos • Coordinate meeting of clients and potential clients and loan disbursal meetings • Manage intake and input of loan applications • Provide follow up to all files on pipeline report • Conduct site, collection and follow up visits • Conduct collateral inspections • Work with applicants to obtain necessary documents and information needed • Prepare and submit loan package for final review • Conduct loan closings • Assume full responsibility for the quality and quantity management of a portfolio of loans • Maintain current and up-dated information on client accounts • Maintain respective office procedures • Assume a participative role in the overall implementation of the ACCION Texas program. • Assist with training new loan officers and supervise staff CSR • Conduct other duties as assigned Salary and Benefits: Salary + commission opportunity; medical, dental and vision insurance; advancement opportunities, 401(k) Send resume with cover letter and salary requirements to: ACCION Texas-Louisiana Human Resources 2014 S.
