The Louisiana State Bar Association’s Access to Justice Program is committed the provision of access to justice to low-income citizens in Louisiana. The ATJ mission is to assure that every Louisiana citizen has access to competent civil legal representation and assistance, by promoting and supporting a broad based and effective justice community through collaboration among the LSBA, the Louisiana Bar Foundation, the legal aid providers and pro bono programs, the Louisiana law schools, local bar associations and private practitioners. Celebrating 28 years in August 2025, the Bar’s ATJ Program has been described as a lynchpin of Louisiana’s Civil Justice Community fostering coordination and providing leadership for legal initiatives that benefit Louisiana’s poor.
