At Travelers Aid Society of Greater New Orleans, our mission is to work to end homelessness. Our vision is a New Orleans where everyone has a safe place to call home.
We are a multi-program social services agency. We provide street outreach, day shelter, crisis case management, housing and benefits navigation, permanent housing, employment assistance, and more. We are a small, diverse team and are looking for individuals who genuinely care both about the individuals whom we serve and about addressing the systems that create homelessness and poverty to join us in our work.
We value Compassion, Collaboration, Best Practices, and we are Committed to Growth. Please read more about our values below and see our website at https://travelersaidsocietyneworleans.org/
Compassion: Our heart is in our work. We extend genuine care to those we serve, treating them in a way that promotes their dignity and preserves their agency.
Collaboration: We cannot end homelessness alone. We are led by the experiences of those we serve, and we partner with diverse stakeholders to accomplish our work.
Best Practices: We rely on evidence-based practices. To address homelessness and related issues, we subscribe to a housing first, harm reduction approach.
Commitment to Growth: We are determined to improve. We listen, learn, and remain open to change to ensure that our programs best serve those with whom we work.
