Dragonfly Cafe at Raphael Village was founded in 2021 by Raphael Village to help differently abled people to be integrated in the community. The cafe will be a place to welcome the Greater New Orleans community to learn more about the work we do at Raphael Village serving children and adults with exceptionalities. Raphael Village includes a K-12, Raphael Academy, an adult day program, The Guild, and a future life-sharing community, The Hearth. Additionally, the cafe will serve as a vocational training site for Guild members as a stepping stone towards potential employment in the greater community. The integration of Guild members into the cafe is the overarching reason for why the Dragonfly Cafe exists and all decisions regarding the cafe’s operations should be viewed through that lens.
