Who We Are
The New Orleans Bar Association (NOBA) is a nonprofit organization that represents the interests of lawyers and judges in the metropolitan New Orleans area. NOBA has over 60 committees, holds over 200 continuing legal education programs in addition to over 200 meetings each year. New Orleans Bar Association was founded in 1924 and has 3,000 members.
Special Projects Coordinator Position Description
Primary job responsibilities include coordinating the Executive Director's special projects and serving as the primary point of contact for the Director for both the Bar Association and the Bar Foundation. Will work on multitude of projects and event planning, organizing committees, assisting in analyzing and preparing presentations, setting up meetings, coordinating projects, handling telephone, mail and e-mail inquiries. Work will also include performing regular office work and other tasks for the New Orleans legal community.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle details are an absolute necessity in this position. Excellent people skills are required. Must be extremely organized, very detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Diplomatic and professional demeanor are necessary as employee will be serving as point of first contact with lawyers and the courts. Must be able to write well. Must have proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe and database programs. Graphic design skills are a plus.
