The Idea Village
The Idea Village mission is to accelerate the growth of the entrepreneurial community in New Orleans region by advocating for a culture of innovation and providing strategy, talent and resources to high impact ventures. The Idea Village is a 501©(3) economic development organization founded in 2002 by local entrepreneurs who believe that innovation is the catalyst to creating social and economic change. As a primary driver of innovation and entrepreneurship, The Idea Village has supported over 240 New Orleans entrepreneurs through a global network that is committed to accelerating the growth of the local entrepreneurial community.

Greater New Orleans, Inc
Regional partnership of public and private leaders driving the economic resurgence of the Greater New Orleans area. Fosters a pro-business public policy, including financial incentives for businesses.

Young Leadership Council
Group of young budding leaders who focus on specific project. YLC hosts frequent networking opportunities, including Wednesdays at the Square and team-based volunteering. Creators of the “Proud to Call it Home” messaging campaign.

Urban League of Greater New Orleans
Founded to champion basic human rights for African Americans back in 1938, the Urban League is dedicated to helping individuals within our community create economic self-sufficiency. It targets youth education and workforce development within the community, while eradicating social barriers sourced from public policy and discourse.

Human Resources Management Association
Organization dedicated to connecting human resource professionals. This local branch of a national organization holds monthly meetings, compiles local job listings, and provides other career services. Their goal is to connect the local business world, as well as offer recruiting and other human resource functions.

Arnie Fielkow, New Orleans City Council
Councilmember Arnie Fielkow’s tenure, through active leadership, demonstrates the value he places on several fundamental areas of governance: economic development, good government reforms, and youth and recreational issues. Council President Fielkow works tirelessly to establish the city’s first inclusive and collaborative economic development organization, a public-private partnership. His life-long involvement in children’s issues serves him well as Chair of the Council’s Youth and Recreation Committee. In his first year, he facilitated programs such as the Playground Partnership, a public-private partnership to clean up and rehabilitate the city’s playgrounds, and he continues to focus on improvements to the New Orleans Recreation Department and its facilities.

Anyone who wishes can sign-up and begin to engage and publish their own articles, comments and images. The Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans
The Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans serves as the central coordinating body for the Jewish community. Its purpose is to build and sustain a vibrant Jewish community in the Greater New Orleans area, and, in accordance with Jewish tradition, to assure the continuity of the Jewish people in America, Israel and throughout the Diaspora.
