Our new and expanding company is looking to hire a driven individual for either a part-time or full-time position. Full-time hours will be Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; part-time are TBD. This individual will have the opportunity to earn a full-time, long-long term position with one of our partner companies at the end of 90 days. We are looking to hire right away.

This position REQUIRES the following technical skills:

*experience with IT troubleshooting, such as on Mac and PC, MacMail, setting up email accounts on phone, figuring out glitches, etc. *experience with building a website and application programs *intermediate-expert skill with WordPress *knowledge of PHP, Joomla, mySQL, JavaScript, etc. *familiarity with Mac OS *able to work with Microsoft office *ipad app development *knowledge of SurveyMonkey

Must have the follow additional skills:

*flexible in thinking and scheduling *able to respond to challenges with enthusiasm and willingness *able to operate in a small group setting *willing to take calls, text messages, and meet outside of designated office hours and premises *able to learn quickly and take direction from others *well-spoken and persuasive *able to drive across town and possibly out-of-state

The following skills are desired, but not required:

sales experience
experience in a small business
familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, etc.
familiarity with mobile app development
experience in marketing and advertising
Knowledge of digital publishing
Design, web design, Html5
Copy editing experience for medical publications
Research experience

Position description:

This individual will be helping to run a new publishing company. Duties would involve building websites, technical support, research, and developing new technologies.

We need someone who would be able to design and integrate a quiz application into our website. The objective would be to test the knowledge of students before and after they read the study material. We want to be able to automatically send out the test, prevent students from reading the study material prior, and collect their answers. We want to analyze their answers and see how many of which type of question students are getting wrong.

In this same vein of thought, we eventually (within 3 years) want to design an editable, digital textbook. This textbook would be similar to how Wikipedia is set up, except that it would be peer-reviewed and editable on the word level. If the content needs to be updated, it would go through a peer-review process and would reflect who had requested the change, who reviewed it, when, etc.
