Overview:

The Director, Member Services will serve as a deputy to the Head of Member Services and will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing client relationships by employing excellent customer service skills. The Member Services area is responsible for successful new client onboarding, auction origination and responding to customer requests and inquiries. This area fulfills a key role in the daily trading of auctions on the Exchange where speed and efficient processing are essential. The ideal candidate should have a financial services background, a passion for customer service and a sense of urgency towards answering client inquiries in as timely a manner as possible. The candidate should also be very energetic, a self-starter and have experience working in a fast-paced environment. This role reports to the Senior Director, Head of Member Services.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a key liaison between customers and internal personnel, including TRE’s Sales and Trading and Sales teams and multiple Operational teams.
• Perform onboarding of new Sellers
• Evaluate contracts and invoices for eligibility prior to auction on the Exchange.
• Manage and perform verification of invoices and change of remittance address.
• Answer inbound email and calling requests for time sensitive customer information
• Review and release auctions for trading.
• Assist Sr. Director in preparing periodic reporting to Executive management.
• Investigate and resolve customer and internal account discrepancies and rapidly respond back to clients.
• Improve customer relationships using excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Seek to constantly review, evaluate and improve Member Services policies, procedures and playbooks to enhance customer service and increase efficiency and transparency for our clients.
• Be an active leader and mentor to a fun and energetic team working with the Head of Member Services.
• Able to effectively manage the Member Services function in the absence of the Head of Member Services, as required.

Requirements

Qualifications

TRE will consider candidates from a broad range of backgrounds, however, experience in any of the following financial services area areas is preferred:
o Business banking customer service
o Commercial loan documentation
o Asset based lending/accounts receivables background
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 4+ years experience in customer service or related field
• At least one year of supervisory experience
• Experience with contract review desirable
• Experience and /or knowledge of the account payable/receivable process a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office required along with general computer literacy
• Strong customer service/problem resolution skills
• Ability to work effectively in a very fast paced environment while prioritizing and effectively coordinating multiple tasks with little supervision
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to learn and adapt to a changing environment
• Desire to take on responsibility and grow within TRE.

Location and Travel:
The company is headquartered in New Orleans with an office in New York. Minimal travel to the NYC office expected.
