This position will be responsible for verifying that trading platform enhancements meet both end-user requirements and TRE’s product excellence standards. This is a great position for someone who wants to begin their career in the software industry and work towards a business analyst, quality assurance manager, or software product manager role. The day-to-day responsibilities include leading the testing phase of the software development lifecycle and assisting with the other phases. The position will also manage training, documentation and second level support for the trading platform. The primary objective will be to thoroughly support business and technology platform needs on an expedited basis in order to increase the velocity of platform release cycles. The position is an Associate level position reporting to the VP, Head of Product Management.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the testing phase of trading platform enhancements by creating test standards, approaches and plans in accordance with project scope and delivery dates.

- Write test scripts and perform acceptance, functional and regression testing in QA and staging environments to ensure that the enhancements meet business requirements and fulfill platform goals.

- Assist with project rollouts by executing launch sequences and managing internal business line resources.

- Provide second level support to the trading platform user base by identifying and managing the resolution of production issues while serving as the central communication point between the Technology team and business units.

- Write internal documentation for new product functionality and participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential rollout problems.

- Assist with integration efforts for enterprise partnerships and serve as primary point of contact for issue resolution, upgrades and maintenance.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have exposure to the building or installation of large software preferably in the financial services industry.

- Strong technical acumen and keen attention to detail

- Passion for quality assurance of end-user applications and a desire to solve problems for stakeholders

- Experience identifying, reporting, tracking and communicating about quality issues

- Good project management skills or substantial exposure to project-based work structures

- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills

- Ability to self-motivate and thrive in a high pressure, agile and distributed development environment

- Ability to work extended hours during rollouts or as needed

- Bachelors degree

- Must have completed a professional undergraduate or post graduate internship or have at least one year of professional work experience

Location and Travel:

This a full-time position based in New Orleans. Very limited travel to New York or California may be required.
