The Team Member Services Coordinator handles the day-to-day operations of the Team Member Services Department to include services, policies, and programs for the organization. The Team Member Services Coordinator drives practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior team. The Team Member Services Coordinator carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: hiring, information systems, employee relations, benefits, compensation, professional development and compliance.

Salary Range: $25,000 – $30,000+ depending on skill and experience level

Primary Responsibilities: – Coordinates all aspects of the hiring process, including posting job descriptions, responding to applicants, scheduling interviews, and checking references – Ensures compliance to regulatory concerns and reporting – Supports on-boarding of new employees by processing new employee information, completing background checks and presenting organizational policies and procedures – Maintains up-to-date employee files by completing data entry and filing as needed – Develops and implements new policies and documentation as needed – Supports the orientation of new employees, training of current employees and exit interviews for departing employees – Administers team member compensation and benefits – Ensures employee safety, welfare, wellness and health – Provides employee relations/services and counseling – Fosters the development of a superior workforce – Promotes the development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance – Plans all staff meetings and events – Invests in personal ongoing development

Qualifications – Excellent communication skills – Flexibility to learn new skills and improve current systems – Strong organizational skills and ability to perform tasks effectively – Knowledge of state and federal employment systems and laws to include Louisiana Workforce Commission, unemployment and workers compensation – Strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality and professionalism – Able to work in a fast paced, constantly changing work place – Positive attitude, ability to take initiative and be self-motivated – Strong passion for the work of the St Bernard Project – Willingness to learn and develop new skills
