POSITION PURPOSE
Service existing clients and prospective clients, market all employee benefit lines with numerous carriers, and coordinate workflows (new business, renewal, enrollment, submissions, etc.) for the Producer with clients and insurance carriers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Gather the necessary information regarding new/existing accounts and submit this information to the various carriers to obtain proposals.
2. Review the proposals received from the various carriers and then place these in a formal proposal presentation.
3. Conduct client presentations in the absence of the Producer.
4. Assist in the preparation of enrollment communication materials as well as coordinate enrollment workflow.
5. Provide training to clients on Zywave tools (MyWave, HRconnection, etc.).
6. Effect changes in coverage as requested and needed by customer.
7. Direct a smooth transition from one carrier to another carrier.
8. Perform periodic service calls on all accounts and complete a report on a monthly basis.
9. Update all account information in the agency electronic filing system when a change to a new carrier is made or a renewal is completed to maintain files.
10. Maintain awareness of new developments or changes with the various carriers and new Federal/State laws that may affect how our clients must administer their benefit programs, and communicate this information to clients and team members.
11. Develop and maintain a positive relationship and rapport with each insurance carrier to satisfy our clients’ needs and facilitate the processing of business.
12. Handle or refer all requests by our clients.
13. Act as a back up to the Producer with clients and carriers.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Attend and complete any training sessions or assignments as required.
2. Perform other tasks on projects as needed/assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The

• College diploma and at least three year of experience in employee benefit account management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Louisiana agent’s license in Health and Life preferred. Must obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Possess communication skills necessary to communicate with clients companies and prospects concerning employee benefit lines of coverage
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook preferred, basic working knowledge required. Advanced knowledge of Power Point preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, responsive and self-motivated.
• Team player and task oriented.
