You have a passion for building the most effective and enjoyable user experiences and believe that advancements in technology, including mobile and web applications / social and game tools, has an incredible untapped potential to unite people for better decisions.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Decision-making is broken at every level and current tools aren’t helping. We are forced to choose between over-simplifying our opinions (polls and surveys) or being overwhelmed by runaway emails and comment streams that are un-scalable, confusing and waste time. We are building a tool that captures opinion, organizes collaboration/kills spam and rewards productive decision-making so we can decide and take action, together.

We’re looking for a true leader in User Experience who will bring deep interaction design & visual design capabilities to the core team. We are focused on mobile and web development so the following skill areas are important:

• HTML & CSS as applied to the web and mobile environments
• iOS & Android, in both phone & tablet form factors
• Email, Facebook, Google+ & Twitter
• User security/identity in casual and enterprise contexts

Even if you haven’t had direct work experience in all of the above, it’s not a deal-breaker. Let’s discuss.

THE INDIVIDUAL

You’ll have had a minimum of several years of experience designing, building and delivering web and/or mobile products.

You will own this product with us and will be an absolutely central part of the team. We are a startup, so you can expect lean budgets and a small team where you will primarily (but not completely) focus on the following:

• Visual/UI design
• Interaction/engagement design
• Pragmatic implementation
• Overall strategy including marketing, fundraising, etc.

Expect pots of coffee, brainstorming sessions, researching, white-boarding, testing, testing again, testing again, high-fiving and building something that could very well change the way people solve problems.

THE TEAM

We are a group of people who are passionate about: our work; New Orleans, where we work and play; solving problems; and, most importantly, how other people solve theirs.

We spend plenty of time together, getting things done quickly. Our work is too important to cave into bad team dynamics, so you’ll need great interpersonal and persuasion skills to match our energetic environment.

We encourage disagreement, but avoid being disagreeable.

THE LOCATION

We seek to all be in New Orleans, however are willing to talk about alternatives based on the candidate.
