FirstLine Schools: Blended Learning Project Coordinator
Position Summary
FirstLine Schools is currently seeking a Blended Learning Project Coordinator to support the implementation of the Blended Learning Project across multiple schools primarily through data analysis and systems design.
Inspired by the primary grades work of Rocketship Schools in California, the FirstLine Schools Blended Learning Project aims to incorporate Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) into its educational programs to achieve the following objectives:
•Improve student achievement
•Improve the financial model to make it more sustainable
The primary responsibilities of the Coordinator include:
•Collecting and analyzing data to inform the continuous improvement of CAI usage
•Coordinating the execution of project implementations
•With support from the Director of Blended Learning, leading efforts to create scalable student performance data management solutions
•With support from the Director of Data Management, working to create a financial model and supporting school budgeting for blended learning.
The work is fast-paced and entrepreneurial. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with a systems and processes mindset. Also, the successful candidate will be effective at collaborating among the Blended Learning and Data teams, the school leadership teams, and IT team.
Specific Responsibilities
Collecting and analyzing data to inform the continuous improvement of CAI usage
•Leading regular analyses of student performance data and manage the blended learning scorecard to enable on-going refinement of the model
•Conducting regular observations of usage and participating in improvement discussions with school leaders and the Director of Blended Learning
With support from the Director of Blended Learning, leading the effort to create scalable student performance data management solutions
•Working with the data management team to design and implement scalable data analysis and management solutions
•With support from the Director of Blended Learning, coordinating the execution of project implementations
•Communicating with school leaders, staff, and vendors to setup new implementations
•Oversee deliverables from vendors to assure quality and timely execution
•Problem-solving barriers to the timely execution of project deliverables
Creating the financial model, supporting school budgeting for blended learning
•Leading creation of the blended learning financial model with support from the Director of Data Management
•Providing input to school leaders and network Finance Director on cost options to help with the budgeting process
Qualifications
Education & Experience
•Commitment to the mission and vision of FirstLine Schools and commitment to providing outstanding schools to all students
•Minimum of a BA or BS and a record of high academic achievement
•2-3 years teaching experience preferred, not required
•Experience working with data (research, etc.)
•Financial experience and/or experience producing financial models preferred, not required
•Fluency with PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook, preference given to fluency with additional data management software/tools
