Federated Sample is looking for a Software Project Manager to join our global product development team. We are a market research technology-startup headquartered in New Orleans. Our clients use our flagship products, Fulcrum and Samplicio.us, to manage and execute complex, large-scale online sampling projects (surveys). Project Management is a critical aspect of software development for a rapidly growing technology startup such as Federated Sample. The Project Manager will direct all product development activities, starting from project inception to project delivery and post-delivery support. The PM will use both traditional Project Management and Agile Project Management methodologies to deliver quality results.

Requirements/Experience:

• At least seven years of Project Management experience at a technology firm
• PMP or CSM certification a must
• Experience in working with a mix of on-shore and off-shore development teams
• Experience with developing web based applications and SAAS products
• Outstanding proficiency in all phases of SDLC
• Strong verbal and written communication skills a must
• Proficiency with MS Project and an Agile Project Management Tool
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to support project prioritizations through cost-benefit analysis and other such supporting analytical methods.
• Experience in either managing or performing as an integral part of a formal Project Management Office

Responsibilities:

• For each project, define scope and work with the development team in estimating development costs
• Develop thorough Work Breakdown Structure for the project and collaborate with Product Manager and Business Analysts in finalizing the task list for each project
• Develop project plans or agile methodologies based on the nature of the work-stream and manage projects
• Allocate development resources across projects, maintenance and support tasks, and develop both short term and long term deliverable time lines.
• Develop overall product roadmap for the firm
• Create and manage RACI matrices for each project on the roadmap
• Manage a clearly categorized Issue Log for all projects and other associated Product Development activity
• Closely manage project schedules. Monitor and proactively resolve all scheduling issues and conflicts
