Business Overview
A startup named Radolo is forming in New Orleans that will change the way business unit executives solve problems in large companies. Radolo is being created to meet a large and growing need for Fortune 1000 departmental solutions. Most large corporations have very well established enterprise systems for their largest application needs; however, the unique business requirements of many departments are frequently not met. This is due to a variety of factors including the fact that corporate IT often tries unsuccessfully to align all departments with an inflexible enterprise-wide solution. Additionally, many of these organizations have inadequate IT resources (quality and quantity) to address widely divergent departmental needs and have multi-year backlogs.

Cloud based applications are rapidly gaining acceptance for applications in nearly all industries. This includes domains such as accounting and healthcare where they were once thought unlikely to gain traction. Cloud based solutions offer the advantage of no maintenance required by the customer, rapid ramp up times, and simpler migrations to new versions of underlying technology. Another major advantage of cloud based apps is the ability of departmental managers to procure these solutions and achieve success without involvement from corporate IT.

To add to this, mobile devices, coupled with social and web technologies, are driving most businesses to adapt at a record pace. Customers are beginning to expect more interactive capabilities on mobile/web/social platforms and managers must find a way to deliver. These trends exist in both B2C and B2B industries.

Radolo will fill the gap for departmental/business unit applications by providing a flexible and rapidly deployed cloud-based application service. The service will be sold to business people, not IT organizations, focusing on the solution, not technology. The applications will include mobile, mobile web and traditional business applications.

Radolo will form a relationship with Aptify Corporation, the manufacturer of Aptify RAD. Aptify RAD is a mature software platform that accelerates development, deployment and maintenance of business applications and will provide Radolo with a market advantage. Aptify RAD will help Radolo achieve strong operating margins due to the speed at which quality applications will be developed. From a customer viewpoint, the key differentiator will be the time to market advantage. Competition for the level of applications being targeted by Radolo will largely be from local consulting organizations as opposed to majors. Radolo will be able to deliver quality applications with greater feature sets in less time due to Aptify RAD and a unique delivery model that is being created. Aptify RAD is a proven technology with a track record spanning over 15 years. The platform is used daily by many global organizations for large scale, enterprise-wide and departmental applications in the association and publishing industries. Aptify is focused on those markets and is licensing Aptify RAD to Radolo to exploit the IP in unrelated markets while maintaining focus on growing its core vertical.

Your responsibilities will include creating simple, intuitive designs for an array of user types. The applications will span from traditional web applications to cutting-edge mobile(phone and tablet) applications. Responsibilities will include participating in requirements sessions with clients, creating user experience concepts/wireframe and implementation of those designs with HTML/CSS. Additionally, you will be involved in implementing the interactive features with jQuery, HTML5, ASP.NET, SQL Server and other cutting edge technologies. Our company is just getting rolling and this key position has huge growth opportunities as the startup takes flight. Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly while delivering quality work within tight deadlines will be required for success in this role.

Duties:
• Design visually attractive, easy-to-use interfaces and web pages for web and mobile business applications.
• Look for ways to evolve the user experience in the form of smart design solutions and new user interactions for clients. Help develop methods to simplify and streamline business processes using creative design and workflow concepts.
• Work collaboratively with developers, analysts and account team to ensure design concepts are delivered to meet and exceed client needs.
• Stay involved with client needs over time and evolve applications to meet changing business requirements.

Required:
• Bachelor's degree
o Preferably in a field related to web development, web design, business information systems, graphic design, or other related field.
o Will consider candidates with experience equivalent to such a degree.
• Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in web design.
• Specifically need to have web design experience with business/database applications.
• Solid User Experience design skills to be able to help mockup the application look and feel and flow as part of project ramp up.
• Strong talent for all elements of design, layout and typography.
• Have a strong understanding of latest web technologies and their capabilities.
• Strong time management and project management skills, strong initiative and the ability to work with all levels of staff.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to work under pressure in an environment of shifting priorities and change.
• Ability to keep abreast of innovative design trends and technologies.

Desired:
• ASP.NET experience.
• HTML5 and jQuery experience.
• Experience with mobile application design and development.
