Intralox, LLC has an opening for an Engineering Technician to work in the Manufacturing Engineering Group (MEG). In this position, you will assist the MEG Engineers by constructing/fabricating equipment for use on the Plastics, Assembly and Thermodrive production floors. This will include work during design, prototyping, testing, assembly, installation, and post installation of mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:
· Function as the Technician-in-Charge on specific projects and provide assistance to other engineers/project managers/technicians as needed on other projects
· Fabricate, assemble, test, and troubleshoot MEG equipment
· Machining work (manual mill and lathe – production parts/prototype parts/part modification)
· Documentation of potential issues identified during assembly/testing/installation
· Communication with design engineers, project managers, maintenance, and production personnel
· Order and receive material for machine builds and/or shop supplies
· Participation in design reviews
· Assist in the On-Call support of equipment as required during equipment transition
· Shop maintenance and cleanliness
· Follow safe work practices

Requirements:
· High School diploma (or equivalent)
· Ability to work unsupervised and work well within a team environment
· Strong mechanical aptitude
· Strong organizational skills
· Proficiency with basic hand and power tools
· Experience with vertical milling machine and manual lathe
· Ability to operate machine tools, such as a drill press, bench grinder, band saw
· Familiarity with computers/willingness to learn
· Ability to lift and assemble machine components, 50 pound maximum, and stand for extended periods of time
· Work overtime as needed

Desired Qualifications:
· Trade School / Associates Degree
· Spreadsheet and word processing knowledge
· Experience with electrical wiring and troubleshooting
· Understand wiring schematics and/or familiarity reading blueprints
· Experience with pneumatic or hydraulic plumbing and troubleshooting
· Experience with Mastercam and CNC Vertical milling
· Experience with CAD (2D or 3D)
· Experience with welding (stainless steel or aluminum)
