About St Bernard Project
The St. Bernard Project (SBP) is a nonprofit disaster rebuilding organization serving residents in St. Bernard and Orleans parishes. Embracing an all-under-one-roof model, SBP's mission is to remove physical, mental, and emotional barriers for vulnerable families, senior citizens and disabled residents who are struggling to recover from the devastation and trauma caused by Hurricane Katrina and, more recently, the BP oil spill. To date, St Bernard Project has completed over 350 homes thanks to the hard work of the 31,000 + volunteers who have generously dedicated their time to our cause. Although we have seen significant progress, there is much work left to do to address the affordable housing crisis in the greater New Orleans area. Become a part of the solution, become a part of St Bernard Project.
