Responsibilities:

? Identify individuals and families who need one-on-one and group counseling and make recommendation to the team leaders to schedule these services
? Conduct regularly scheduled counseling hours in designated areas of the community
? Provide timely and thorough follow up to clients
? Provide training for community and volunteer organizations on dealing with crises.
? Provide individual, family and group counseling to disaster survivors.
? Travel door-to-door, depending on availability, throughout the assigned neighborhood to provide in-home and community level support.
? Conduct debriefing and support services to volunteers, caregivers and other responders.
? Provide support to Resource Linkage Coordinators when those served require additional services.
? Assess crises and respond with appropriate interventions/referrals.
? Check in with Team Leader at assigned intervals while out of the office.
? Attend daily team meetings on days of work.
? Complete all required paperwork daily.
? Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

? Experience in the mental health field
? Research and writing skills
? Education in mental health field
? Minimum of 2 years supervisory or management experience
(at least 1 year previous experience as outreach specialist or Crisis Counselor may substitute)
